Want to earn some brownie points by taking your other half out for a date night? Or looking for inspiration for a mates date? Look no further than The Printworks, Manchester.
At The Printworks in Manchester City Centre there are so many eateries to choose from and all under one roof too. There’s Italian at Prezzo, sushi at Wasabi, tex-mex at Chiquitos or Busaba for your Thai experience to name a few. No matter what your food of choice is, it’s likely The Printworks will have a restaurant for you.
On our date night at The Printworks, we decided to eat at one of our favourite places, Japanese noodle bar Wagamama. Every time we visit the chain, regardless of location, the food and service is always spot on.
We had decided to go earlier in the evening before the dinner time rush so we got a table for 4:30pm. It’s was already reasonably busy which I always think is a sign of a good restaurant.
To start we enjoyed a couple of their gorgeous juice drinks. Made with fresh fruit we had a nutritious boost before enjoying our usual order.
Chilli squid, chicken gyoza and steak teriyaki soba! We have the same thing almost every time because we enjoy it so much, although I do recommend their other dishes too!
After our meal we wandered along the cobbles of The Printworks to the Odeon cinema to see the long awaited La La Land. Once inside and full stocked with sweets and drinks we sat down to watch one of the most magical movies I’ve ever seen. It was uplifting right from the start and I even felt like clapping after the opening scenes.
We strolled back to the car and home for a night-cap (cheeky bottle of prosecco) before bed feeling fulfilled by our date night. Even after 6 years, it’s still great to have some time just for ‘us’.
Are you in a long term relationship and still have date nights? I’d love to hear some of your date night ideas and I suggest you try The Printworks too.
