FESTIVE // Great Christmas gifts for runners

I know it’s still November but it’s time to get ahead of the game and start your Christmas shopping so for those of you who might be struggling for present ideas this year, here’s a list of some great Christmas  gifts for runners.

  1. High Visibility.

You know my motto – be seen, be safe – and this all the more important now that the nights have drawn in. Most running clubs ask for reflective or light up gear as an essential part of your running kit and I love this reflective vest from Proviz Sports. They have a huge safety range and you might pick up a bargain before the weekend is out if you’re quick. (Current Price from Proviz Sports: £19.99 in the sale)

2. A Cap.

A cap is an essential item for all runners in my opinion. It will protect your head from the cold in the winter months, keep the rain from dripping down your face quite so much and keep the sun out of your eyes in the summer. This 2XU one has vents on the top too to prevent you from getting too sweaty up top, (Current Price from Wiggle: £9.99 in the sale)

3. Goggles.

Yes I know this list is for runners, but quite a lot of runners do swim as well. A decent pair of swimming goggles like these Kameleon ones from Aqua Sphere with curved lens for improved peripheral vision will not only stop the water leaking through, but prevent the lenses from going foggy too. We all know how good swimming is for us and there’s no doubt that it will help your running too so consider a swimming accessory this Christmas. (Current Price from Aqua Sphere: £9.10 in the sale)

4. Trainers.

A runner can never have enough trainers and with the weather getting wetter and race conditions getting worse, a good pair of trail running trainers won’t go amiss this Christmas. The Salomon Sense Ride are a great choice. (Current Price: £110)

5. A Race Entry.

It can get pricey paying for your race entries throughout the year so why not ask Santa to bring you and entry to your next challenge this Christmas. Whether it’s a 5km or your first marathon or even a triathlon, you could buy someone their next PB!

6. Skin Products.

It’s hard on your skin being outside all year round whether you’re competing or pounding the streets in the endless training runs. The Pure Potions Skin Salvation range is carefully formulated to suit those with eczema, psoriasis and other dry and itchy skin conditions. It’s a great relief for the skin after showering so often and running through the hard rain and wind of the winter. (Current Price for Winter Essentials £25.00 in the sale using BLACKFRIDAY2017)

7. A Flipbelt.

All runners need somewhere to keep their phone, keys and anything else we’ve taken out with us. The Flipbelt is the perfect solution so should be on your Christmas list. It’s big enough to hold all of those things and even a bottle of water too. It’s comfortable, secure and doesn’t bounce about causing you mayhem as you run. Definitely the best running belt I’ve ever worn. (Current Price for Classic Edition: £25.00)flipbelt in black

Let me know if you buy of these things, or perhaps you’ve got some other suggestions? I’d love to hear them so please leave a comment below.

Thanks for popping by, Hayley x
